To solve this, an automatic packing system optimizing the package size of each order has been introduced to help improve transport efficiency and reduce customer transport fees.

This is an eco-friendly stand-up pouch with zipper for tea bags designed for recycle ready, being composed of more than 90% mono-material with polypropylene. The film helps to retain the packaged tea flavor longer with excellent barrier property. Lower CO2 emission is realized by simplified duplex structure without using aluminum foil. (CO2 emissions: approximately 33% reduced)

Conventionally, unit loads for irregularly shaped products created dead space at the top of the container because stacking inside the container was too difficult to implement. In addition, a stacking system could be an export risk due to expense and stacking needing to be returnable. Therefore, a disposable stacking system with corrugated fiberboard providing easy assembly, de-assembly and safety has been developed to improve loading efficiency for irregularly shaped products.

We gave taste and characters a story by adopting a striking kabuki actor as a motif for fragrant junmai daiginjo-shu. If you arrange the front and side of boxes, a large Ukiyo-E image is formed. It provides outstanding impact with little effort at the shop front. In addition, the placement of boxes can be changed to create a luxury folding screen.

This porous ceramic product is long, narrow, thin and fragile, and used to be damaged easily during transportation. Therefore, plastic-free packaging made of 100 percent corrugated paper with enhanced cushioning performance has been developed. The results show the cushioning performance improved by around 50 percent on average with a reduced cost of 32-60 percent without any product damage being reported.

The finest beauty serum developed based on the theory and study of the relationship between the brain and skin in which curiosity makes people beautiful. The concept includes ideas to inspire the five human senses and awaken curiosity. The container shape is created based on Fibonacci sequence and catenary curve (parabola of gravity) using delicate cuts and transparency inspired by Kiriko glass. We suggested a new makeup method by adopting a design covering the entire container with the cap and a click structure to discharge the appropriate amount to use. The package is designed with accuracy, considering the user hand and finger size for excellent usability.

Packaging for 21 kinds of blades for the professional Charging Multi-Tool has been developed for identification, safety and eco-friendliness. For identification, five colors are assigned according to the targeted materials for enhanced visibility at the store. For safety, the blades are kept in the center of the packaging and can be repacked. For eco-friendliness, the package has an easy-to separate structure and the materials used are recyclable. Furthermore, the blister pack consists of three kinds of pieces for production circulability.

An innovative bottle exclusively for label-free products, making the consumer feel easy about taking the bottle out. The product has been developed based on peeling off labels for recycling being stressful for consumers and that 54 percent of the products sold through growing online sales are consumed at home. The shape design is inspired by water, using a clear stream in Japan, with the ILOHAS logo added to show the brand name, featuring a label-free, 100 percent recycled plastic that is easy to crush.

Having worked to develop an aerosol button easy for everyone to use until disposal, the “easy lever-type button” can spray the target with light pressure that was developed considering the principle of leverage and the lever shape for the fingers. For easy separation and disposal, the button can be easily removed at disposal but stays on during usage; a degassing mechanism is added on the top of the cap. In addition, a hairstyle maintenance level showing the strength of keeping power at a glance is placed to select the adequate product.

This container can be used sideways or upside down to replace the conventional dropper bottles that were sometimes used with difficulty depending on the patient’s condition and the position of the affected part. The combination of a two-layered structure bottle and a spray enables non-gas 360-degree spraying. A newly adapted trigger spray enables the elderly and those with less grip strength to easily use it. In addition, the design considering usability helps consumers check the remaining amount for buying more and provides easy gas-free disposability.

The outer packages for the five main Kit Kat products in large bags have been changed from plastic to paper. The resulting amount of plastic film used has been reduced by 380 tons annually. Water-based heat-sealing materials are used instead of applying sealant films such as polyethylene and polypropylene. This reduces plastic used and ensures heat sealability, therefore offering sufficient sealing strength to protect the contents while addressing the issue of VOCs (volatile organic compounds).

A package for daily necessities and cosmetics featuring both usability and eco-friendliness has been developed by applying paper carton technology. The paper container with the contents is set in the dispenser for use. Once used up, the container can be replaced within 30 seconds. In addition, the gable top carton is designed to be set upside down, helping consumers to completely use the contents up. Seventy percent of the materials are paper based, enabling forest-certified wood. The cartons can be packed in an outer corrugated box without creating dead space, reducing inventory space and environmental impact while improving loading efficiency for truck transportation.
