Packaging materials for shelf ready packaging have been optimized to save resources and improve stability. Conventionally, the contact area of the stacked packages was insufficient to provide stability and material losses were a major issue. By considering the folding structure to improve the contact area by 46 percent, stacking stability has been increased while reducing material losses to 6 percent and the volume of materials by approximately 15 percent.
