Transport Packaging AwardWater Heaters for Overseas Markets, Plastic-Free Horizontal Transport PackagingPaloma Co., Ltd.CHUOH PACK INDUSTRY CO., LTD.Transport Packaging AwardNon-Slip Eco BoxTOTO LTD.Transport Packaging AwardGentle and Easy One Hand Operation [Petan-to-Lock]JA AICHIAMARENGO CO., LTD★部門賞輸送包装部門賞『海外向け給湯器 脱プラ横置き型輸送包装』㈱パロマ中央紙器工業㈱給湯器の海外向け輸出包装としてオール段ボールの包装材を開発した。従来はEPSの緩衝材を使用していたが、仕向国の脱炭素政策に対応するべく、段ボール化が求められていた。強度が高い製品の端部分を線状に受ける緩衝構造で衝撃を吸収し、過酷な海外輸送に対応可能な緩衝機能を有している。また、従来のEPS仕様と同様のクリアランス、箱サイズを維持している。底部材と、左右天面の合計３部材で構成される本包装材は、“コンパクト輸送”という当社独自の設計思想を用いている。３つの部材を嵌合させることで、一包装材として納品が可能。輸送効率、部材管理工数削減に貢献している。輸送包装部門賞『ノンスリップ・エコボックス』TOTO㈱小便器の製品開口部は滑り台状に傾斜しているため、開口部に置いた同梱品が入った箱が滑り落ちて同梱品が破損する或いは破損した陶器で施工者が怪我をする等の安全面が懸念される。その対策として既存品は滑り落ちても同梱品が破損しないように厚い段ボールで、頑丈に設計されており、段ボール使用量が多い。そこで滑り落ちない設計にすることで頑丈に設計する必要はなくなると考えた。同梱物が入った箱と小便器の接触部分に切り込みをいれ、切り込み箇所が同梱物の自重で小便器にはまり込み、開梱時に箱が滑り落ちない構造にした。その結果、段ボールの厚みを薄く、段ボール使用量を削減することで、同梱品収め箱のCO2排出量を約80％削減した。輸送包装部門賞『片手でやさしく『ぺたんとロックⓇ』』JAあいち海部レンゴー㈱重量のある青果物向けケースの封緘作業では、持ち替えや箱の向きを変える等の工数が増えることが嫌がられていることから、箱の向きを変えることなく、片手で簡単に作業ができるノンステープル形態を開発した。内フラップの一部である押込み部を外フラップ側に押込むことにより、簡単な作業で封かんすることができる。また、外フラップの一部が「フタ」となることで押込み部が商品に直接接触することを防いでいるため、中身の商品を傷つけにくい形態になっている。36We have developed an all-cardboard packaging solution for exporting water heaters overseas. Previously, EPS cushioning was used, but due to the decarbonization policies of the destination countries, cardboard is now required. The newly designed cushioning structure, which linearly supports the strong edges of the product, absorbs shocks and provides a level of protection that can withstand the rigors of overseas transportation. Additionally, it maintains the same clearance and box dimensions as the previous EPS specifications. The packaging, consisting of three components—a bottom component and two top panels (left and right)—is designed using our unique ‘compact transportation’ concept. These components interlock to form a single packaging unit, which is delivered as a single piece. This approach enhances transportation efficiency and reduces labor hours.The content of this packaging, a urinal, has an inclined form similar to a slide, which raises safety concerns. A box containing accessories placed on top of the urinal could potentially slide down, damaging the product or causing injury to the installer from broken ceramic. To address this, existing packaging uses thick, sturdy cardboard to prevent damage, even if sliding occurs, but this requires a large amount of material. Therefore, we have developed a design that prevents sliding, eliminating the need for excessive sturdiness. Several cuts are made in the accessory box at the contact points with the urinal, allowing it to securely fit against the urinal due to the weight of the accessories. This design prevents the box from sliding when opened. As a result, the thickness of the cardboard has been reduced, which lowers overall cardboard usage and decreases CO2 emissions from the accessory box by approximately 80%.The sealing process of the carton boxes for heavy fruits and vegetables is often disliked as it requires many steps, such as turning around the box and changing the hand on hold. So, we developed a non-staple carton that conquered its annoying processes above, which can be easily operated with one hand. A part of the inner flap works as a locking sleeve by pushing it into the lock hole over the outer flap. Also, a part of the outer flap serves as a “lid” to prevent the push-in sleeve from direct contact with the product, which is designed to save the product from damage.Good Packaging
