It utilizes FSC®-certified paper and incorporates biomass materials in the caps and inks, resulting in a design with a lower environmental impact. Additionally, the side of this paper packaging features an “L-slit” window, allowing consumers to see the remaining contents. The dual-function cap enables both small and large pours for ease of use.To promote environmental consciousness while maintaining the functionality traditionally provided by plastic containers, we have developed containers using biomass-allocated polystyrene based on the mass balance method, linked to renewable resources. Although incorporating biomass into polystyrene has been challenging, biomass has conventionally been used for plant-derived polyethylene, polyethylene terephthalate, and other plastics, which differ from polystyrene. Therefore, industrialization was considered difficult, as including miomass could lead to a decline in container functionality due to changes in physical properties. However, through our mass balance certification efforts across the supply chain, we have successfully adopted biomass-allocated polystyrene materials.‘‘Sozai no Bit’’ series that combine features The chocolate bites rich, textured ingredients with deep-flavored chocolate, creating a satisfying and delicious experience in each piece. Sustainable cacao beans make up 80% of the cacao mass.
