The CFG cushioning materials, which were originally developed and required exclusive machines for production, to protect the bottoms of 1.8-liter bottles have been replaced by newly developed pads that general wooden molds can produce. The advantages are ① the blank sheet size has been reduced by approximately 32 percent, ② the pads can be used for other columnar-shaped products with varied volumes and ③ the cushioning ability of the bottom can be improved by considering the bending method.
