In the Edo period, Ukiyo-e, a form of popular culture loved by commoners, was used as a cushioning material to cover and protect gifts. Our packaging concept is a stylish wrapping for sake that depicts such Ukiyo-e on puti puti, which is a contemporary cushioning material. We have incorporated the Japanese aesthetic sense of gifts into modern logistics and aimed for something that would provide a sense of surprise and emotion at the moment of receipt.
