This is a hand pump for the one sho (Japanese weight unit for 1.8 liter) shochu bottle which can pour a recommended amount of shochu to meet a proportion of 5:5 (shochu and water). It used to be heavy for consumers to lift up the bottle and pour directly from it. With this hand pump, you don't have to lift up the bottle to make a nice glass of shochu and water.
