Considering workability, safety, and cost-reduction, we have applied HIPLE (High-performance Triple-wall Corrugated Fiberboard) for shipping long piece of aluminum material for export which was previously shipped encased in wooden box with a length of about 3.7 m and weight of about 40 kg. As a result of this, (1) possible to prepare empty box without use of crane due to the light weight, (2) injuries due to splintering of wood have been eliminated, (3) handling by women is possible due to the weight reduction and safety improvement, and (4) materials can be procured nearby, shortening lead time and reducing material costs.
