We have developed returnable variable-type steel container to package more than 10 kinds of large-sized vehicle refrigerators of different weights and sizes, which were previously individually packaged with corrugated cardboard and wooden pallet. The new container can be used and shared with many products and has increased storage efficiency in the warehouse and reduced container storage area upon returning. As a result, the following improvements have been made: The number of packing material types has been reduced from 13 types to 1 type, assembly man-hours has been reduced by 50%, and stacking has increased from 2 tiers to 3 tiers.
