A conventional four-layer packaging material that includes aluminum foil to prevent evaporation of the contents has been replaced by a two-layer packaging material that uses transparent vapor deposited barrier film with recycled PET film as its substrate to reduce packaging costs and CO₂ emissions. By eliminating aluminum, suitability for incineration and recycling has been improved.
