The new shipping carton for the aircraft seat is constructed of only corrugated cardboard for the first time in the industry, instead of the conventional method of a wooden pallet and plastic fastener under the corrugated cardboard box. The newly invented “Support Lock” is designed so the leg of the aircraft seat is the only part that contacts the corrugated cardboard packaging. This new packaging also allows for the transport container to achieve a 90% fill rate.
