Service Activities for Members

1. Study meeting (tour) based on various themes

Based on the leadership of six branches of JPI located all over Japan, study meetings (tours) as well as lecture meetings where their local features are fully utilized, are held for its members free of charge at the frequency of several times per month.

2. Packaging Consultant Course

JPI holds every year the "Packaging Consultant Course", the only long-term course existing in Japan for fostering able packaging specialists. Those who passed the graduation exam of the course are qualified to the "Packaging Consultant".
This course has very well been received by all concerned, and packaging consultants who finished this course have been acting in the first line of the packaging and distribution departments in various places of Japan.

3. Packaging Academy

The "Packaging Academy" established for packaging consultants has been held every year since 1981 for the purpose of deepening and elevating the specialized field of packaging. Those who passed the graduation exam by the Academy are granted the degree of "Doctor of Packaging".

4. Various seminars and symposiums

JPI holds Fundamental Seminar on Packaging (Beginner's course), Packaging Technique Seminar, Seminar Classified by Packaging Material, Seminar Classified by Industry, Top Seminar on Packaging and Packaging Seminar Classified by Area as well as various lecture meetings and symposiums. In these seminars and symposiums, JPI members are eligible to participate at special reduced charges.

5. Technical counselling and consulting

As part of services for its members, JPI provides them with such services as technical counselling and consulting for improvement of packaging.
Expert counsellors of JPI's Packaging Research Institute will respond to any counselling requested by the members.
In addition to the above counsellors, the members of Japan Packaging Consultant Association, Packaging and Distribution Association for Consultant Engineers and Japan Packaging consultant Club will properly respond to the consultation requested by JPI members.

6. Various information services and publications

JPI delivers to its members without compensation its monthly magazine "Packaging Technology" specialized for packaging and distribution with sufficient collection of valuable information. Other than the above, JPI provides a wide range of various publications that are useful as technical information for both internal and external members.
